Welcome! Below you will find some information about my background and practice.

Thank you for your interest in learning more about me and my practice. My name is Dr. Kelly Dickinson (she/her) and I am a licensed clinical psychologist (WA License PY3728).

I graduated with a Ph. D. in Clinical Psychology from Penn State University in 2001 after completing a pre-doctoral internship at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Medical School in Chicago, Illinois. My postdoctoral training was accomplished in the area of Serious Mental Illness at Minneapolis Veterans Affairs Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. Before establishing this private practice, I have completed over 20 years in public service with experience in both Department of Defense and Veterans Healthcare Administration positions providing care to active duty service members and military Veterans along with their families.

My experience has involved working with individuals who have experienced traumatic life events, significant and chronic stressors, complicated losses and bereavement, and adversity directed at oneself or their loved ones. As such, I am able to offer care to address issues of anxiety, depression, moral injury, betrayal, and relationship issues. My background in public service has allowed me substantial training and skills in the provision of a wide range of therapy models, including Evidence Based Therapy models.

I have experience in providing couples counseling as well. My approach to couples therapy is undertaken through the application of the principles and methods of Integrative Behavioral Couple Therapy (IBCT).
